RENTAL VILLA ON THE SHORE OF LAKE PURUVESI

Lake Paradise on the Shore of Puruvesi

Enjoy privacy in a large villa with stunning lakeside scenery. Features include an own private, beautiful sandy beach, 2 jettys, a large terrace right by the shore, a wood-heated lakeside sauna, a scenic path along the shore, and an outdoor kitchen. This is an wonderful place. The prime location is in Kesälahti, Ansonperä. A few neighbors are in the area, but they are not within sight. Pets are not allowed. The rental period starts at 16:00 on the day of arrival and ends at noon on the day of departure.

Blue Villa

The Blue Villa offers magnificent lake views of Puruvesi. The villa has 4 bedrooms, each with a 160 cm wide double bed, a living room, a kitchen, an electric sauna, a bathroom, and 2 toilets. The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a stove, oven, microwave, large refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and common kitchen appliances.

Lakeside Sauna

The sauna cottage is a charming small building with water carried in. It features a wood-heated sauna and a spacious dressing room on the other side. The lakeside sauna is right by the shore, so you are just a few steps away from the clear waters of Puruvesi. The dressing room has a fold-out sofa bed accommodating 1-2 people more.

Bed Linen

Bed linen is mandatory. You can bring your own or rent them from us. The bed linen package includes a sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, bath towel, and hand towel. The linen is laundered at a professional laundry service that meets high hygiene standards.

Outdoor Kitchen

The outdoor kitchen is located next to the villa’s lakeside terrace. It is usually sheltered from the wind and offers plenty of space for cooking.

Private Beach

A fine private sandy beach with piers and a terrace right by the shore. Enjoy magnificent views of Puruvesi, sunshine almost all day, and beautiful sunsets in the evening. A rowing boat is available for guests. Puruvesi is one of Finland's clearest lakes. Its water quality is monitored annually and has been found to meet the quality standards set for well water. In autumn, as the waters cool, visibility can exceed 10 meters. To protect the uniqueness of Puruvesi, the ProPuruvesi association was established.

Everyman's Rights and Responsibilities

Everyman's rights refer to everyone's right to use nature regardless of who owns or manages the area. Nature reserves and national parks have their own rules. You are free to pick berries and mushrooms from nature. Read more: https://www.nationalparks.fi/everymansright

Fishing

The fisheries management fee must be paid if you are between 18 and 64 years old. The fisheries management fee entitles you to fish with one lure throughout most of the country, though sometimes you may also need permission from the water area owner. The fisheries management fees are used to maintain fishing waters and fish stocks, monitor fishing, and provide guidance to fishermen. The fee is based on the law (finlex.fi). Location

Kesälahti is located in eastern Lakeland Finland near the eastern border, on the isthmus between two magnificent lakes. Kesälahti is centrally located, 100 km south of Joensuu, 100 km north of Imatra, 65 km east of Savonlinna, 35 km east of Punkaharju, and 40 km east of Kerimäki. You can reach it by car via Highway 6, which runs through Kesälahti. Kesälahti has a beautiful train station, only 1,5 km from the Kesälahti's center.

Activities and Events

The Kesälahti parish area is active and communal, where fun and crazy things happen. Everyone knows each other and knows who to contact for various arrangements. The heart of the parish is Sovintola, an old elementary school that houses a café, a traditional garden, a handicraft shop, a secondhand bookstore, art exhibitions, accommodation, residency activities, a meeting place for associations, a local producers' market on Saturdays, fresh baked goods, and more.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations more than 30 days before the start of the reservation: no cancellation fees

  • Cancellations 15-29 days before the start of the reservation: The cancellation fee is 50% of the rent.

  • Cancellations 0-14 days before the start of the reservation: no refund.

If the cancellation is made within 24 hours of the booking/confirmation letter, cancellation fees will not be charged. Travel insurance usually covers cancellation fees.
