Lastu Main House and tipi-like hut by the lake Orivesi

This area was built by a former particleboard factory as the company's representation, where important negotiations and meetings were held as they were in those days - in a sauna. Over time, the use of the buildings has changed and turned to tourism and recreation. The City of Kitee owns the land and the buildings. Lastu Paikka is managed by the local travel service company Lakeland Karelia Oy.

Since then, an atmospheric hut, a peat-roofed smoke sauna and a cosy hut have been built there.

The main house
has accommodation for 8 people, but without accommodation, the facilities serve groups of 5-15 people well. The large picture windows overlook the lake and there is a fireplace at one end of the farm. The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher. There are three bedrooms with a total of 8 beds. There are 2 toilets in the house. The sauna facilities include a dressing room, 2 shower rooms with spacious washrooms, a 10-person electric sauna and direct access to the backyard terrace, along the longitudinal trees, to the dock and for swimming. Swimming is possible all year round, as a pump keeps the opening open in winter.

Cosy tipi-like hut
is included with firewood in the accommodation rental of the Main House. There are moose pads on the benches and table stakes for dining. The hut can comfortably accommodate 10-15 people and firewood is included in the rental.

Rental period
The rental period starts at 16:00 and ends at 12:00 on the last day.

Linen
Linen is compulsory. You can bring your own linen or rent it from us. Linen set includes sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, bath towel and hand towel. The rental price is 19€. The linen is washed in a professional laundry with high hygiene standards. Please do the order in advance.

Cleaning

Cleaning is not included in the rental of the main house. A cleaning fee of 80€ will be charged at the time of booking. Private persons are entitled to deduct the cleaning work invoiced in connection with their holiday accommodation as a household deduction for Finnish tax purposes.

On your own beach
There is a pier and in the winter a pump keeps the ice swimming opening open. Under no circumstances should you jump head-first into the water from the pier. At the end of the pier, the water is about 2.5 metres deep, but there may be rocks under the water. A pleasant and peaceful place. The lake shore belongs to Lastu and is shared by the tenants.

For an additional fee, you can also rent:

Dugout
The dugout is a cosy log cabin built into the ground, with only one room. Facilities: sofa bed with fireplace, fridge, kitchen table, wardrobe, birch furniture and army tin utensils (packs and mugs). In front of the galley, there is a small terrace bordered by natural stone. The additional charge for the dugout is 80€/day. The tenants of the corset have access to the lake shore.

Smoke sauna with a grass roof
and the long wooden paths lead to the lake for swimming from the pier. The sauna can accommodate about 10-15 people. Additional charge for the smoke sauna is 250€, including heating, firewood and cleaning. Smoke sauna tenants have the right to use the lake shore and piers.

Orivesi
Orivesi is part of the Suur-Saimaa and has an average depth of 9.2 metres. In Orivesi, you may come across a dice or find a lava and sauna on the island, run by the village association. There are just under 1600 islands in Orivei. Puruvesi is one of the clearest lakes in Finland.

With the rights of every man
means the right of everyone to use nature, regardless of who owns or controls the land. In other words, no landowner's permission is needed to use nature within the limits of
public rights, and there is no charge for using them. Nature reserves and national parks have their own rules. So you are free to pick berries and mushrooms in the wild.

Fishing
You have to pay a fishing fee if you are aged between 18 and 64 and fish with lures or fishing gear or crayfish. You can buy a permit for a day, a day, a week or a whole year. The fishing fee entitles you to fish with one lure almost anywhere in the country, but sometimes you also need a permit from the owner of the water area. Fishing fees are used to manage fishing waters and fish stocks, as well as to control fishing and advise fishermen. The management fee is based on the Fisheries Act and more information is available by emailing eraluvat@metsa.fi or by calling 020 69 2424. The link will take you to the online shop for permits.

Lastun Paikat is located in Puhos, Kitee
Puhos is centrally located near road nr 6. The easiest way to get to Puhos is by car. If you arrive by train or bus to Kitee, order a shuttle service from the hosts or call a taxi (tel. +358 601 10100) to your destination.

Payment and cancellation conditions
The rent must be paid before the premises are handed over to the tenant. The due date is at least 2 weeks before the check-in of the rental period unless otherwise agreed.

If cancellation is made within 48 hours of this confirmation being sent or more than 30 days before the start of the rental period, no cancellation fee will be charged.
