Log cottage on the shore of Puruvesi

An atmospheric blue log house, which exudes the Austrian ancestry of the builder. The log cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Downstairs there is a hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, electric sauna, and two toilets. Upstairs there is a study and a convertible sofa bed for two people. The villa is about 50 meters from the lake. Plenty of parking space in the yard.

Red sauna cottage

The sauna cottage is a sympathetic little building with a wood-heated sauna and a dressing room with a fireplace and a convertible sofa bed for two. There is a small terrace in front and the beach is perhaps 20-30 meters away. The sauna cottage is electrified.

Bedroom in the annex

Next to the blue log cabin is a green building with a warm storage room at one end and a bedroom with bunk beds at the other end. The building is electrified.

Linen

Bed linen is compulsory. You can bring your own linen or rent it from us. The linen package includes a sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, bath towel, and hand towel. The rental price of the set is 19 €/set. The linen is washed in a professional laundry with high hygiene standards.

Smoke sauna

There is also a peat-roofed smoke sauna on the property, but it is currently out of use.

Own private beaches

There is plenty of coastlines. The sandy beaches on both sides of the pier are part of this site. There is a rowing boat on the beach for use by tenants of up to 4 people and life jackets can be found in the sauna building. The sun hits the beach most of the day, sunsets can be watched from the pier.

Puruvesi

Puruvesi is one of the clearest lakes in Finland. Its water quality is tested annually and has been found to meet the quality requirements for well water. In autumn, when the waters begin to cool, the visible depth can be more than 10 meters. To protect the uniqueness of the Puruvesi, the ProPuruvesi association has been set up to provide more information about this unique lake.

Everyman's rights and responsibilities

Public rights refer to the right of everyone to use nature, regardless of who owns or controls the land. In other words, no landowner's permission is needed to use nature within the limits of the rights of access, and there is no charge for using the rights. Nature reserves and national parks have their own rules. So you are free to pick berries and mushrooms in the wild.

Fishing

If you are aged between 18 and 64 and fish with lures or fishing gear or crayfish, you must pay a fishing fee. The fishing fee entitles you to fish with one lure almost anywhere in the country, but sometimes you also need a permit from the owner of the water area. Fishing fees are used to manage fishing waters and fish stocks, as well as to control fishing and advise fishermen. The management fee is based on the Fisheries Act (finlex.fi).
