Kayaking tour to the Russian border zone
A rare opportunity to paddle along one of Europe’s most unique border landscapes.
Discover the quiet beauty of Lake Pyhäjärvi in Karelia on this guided 3–4 hour kayaking experience. These pristine waters are shared by Finland and Russia, offering a truly special setting where untouched nature meets living history.
Glide across calm waters toward the border zone and reach the official border zone markers – a memorable moment that lets you feel the presence of the border while remaining safely on the Finnish side. Along the way, we pause to rest, take in the scenery, and enjoy the deep silence that defines this remote region.
