Originally built by a local chipboard factory, the area has since been transformed into a charming destination offering both accommodation and authentic Finnish sauna experiences.
In addition to the main house and traditional Finnish kota hut, guests can rent the atmospheric turf-roofed Smoke Sauna and the cosy Korsu, a rustic dugout-style cabin.
The buildings are connected by wooden boardwalks winding through beautiful, natural forest terrain, adding to the peaceful and distinctive atmosphere of Lastun Paikat.
Bookings and rentals at Lastun Paikat are managed by Lakeland Karelia Oy, a local tourism company based in Kitee.
