Kayaking tour to the Russian border zone

A 3-4 hour guided kayak tour on Lake Pyhäjärvi in Karelia, which belongs to both Finland and Russia.

We will go to the border zone and tap the border crossing, but we will not cross the border. There will be at least one break during the tour and more if necessary.

The tour is suitable for those who have taken a basic canoeing course and have some canoeing experience. Swimming at least 200 meters and diving 5-10 meters. Diving means that you are not unfamiliar with being underwater and can operate in it. The size of the group may include 1-5 paddlers in addition to the instructor. The excursion will be carried out if there are at least 3 paddlers on the excursion.

Depending on the ability of the group, the start is from the eastern end of Sarvisalo and then the distance is about 8 km.

We will meet at the guest marina in Piikkeensalmi (Sarvisalontie 39, 59800 Kesälahti), from where we will drive together to the starting point at the eastern end of Sarvisalo. Preparation, equipment, and instructions at 16:30 - 17:00 and paddle in the water at 17:00. Estimated time of return to Sarvisalo is around 20:00-21:00. Minimum age is 15 years and young people under 18 years can participate with their own parent/adult.

Lakeland Karelia nature and kayak tours are guided by trained paddling instructors and wilderness guides.

The price includes equipment, equipment, and guidance. Reservations must be made latest by 6 pm the day before.

Cancellation conditions:

Cancellations must always be made in writing and the following fees will be refunded:
- Cancellation 8-30 days before the excursion, 90% of the price will be refunded.
- Cancellation 2-7 days before the excursion, 50% of the price will be refunded.
- Cancellation 0-1 day before the event, no refund.
If weather conditions necessitate rescheduling the excursion, priority will be given to finding a new date. If no alternative is found, a full refund will be given.

The starting point for the Karelian Lake Pyhäjärvi excursions: Kesälahti, Sarvisalo Island, Lehvonlahti boat landing at the eastern end of the island, where you will go together. We meet at Piikkeensalmi guest marina (Sarvisalontie 39 59800 Kesälahti) at 16:15 and drive together to the starting point.

The excursions are led by trained paddling instructors or wilderness guides, whose training includes paddling as one of their hobbies.
