Unique smoke sauna and evening in unique Dugout

A former chipboard factory built the Lastun Paikat as a sauna and accommodation for its guests on the lake shore of Orivesi. The Päätalo was built first, with about 150 square metres of space, then a cosy hut, a peat-roofed smoke sauna and a cosy dugout. There are between buildings grey duckboards, weathered by time.

For rent: Lastu Korsu the unique Dugout and a smoke sauna. Smoke sauna will be heated by the owners and it takes about 5 hours. The rental period starts at 16:00 and ends at 24:00 that evening. The rental fee includes the rental of the Korsu, heating of the smoke sauna, seat clothes, towels, shampoos, cleaning and the use of the duckboards and piers. The rental also includes the maintenance building next to the Korsu, with firewood, a changing room, and dry toilets.

Korsu - the unique Dugout
The dugout is a cosy log accommodation built into the ground, with only one room. It has successfully created a unique atmosphere. Equipment: a sofa bed, a fair-sized fireplace, a fridge, a kitchen table, a wardrobe, and army tin food (packs and mugs). There is a small terrace in front of the galley, bordered by natural stone. It can be rented as a place to stay, as part of a smoke sauna, or for parties or meetings. Next to the Korsu is a maintenance building with firewood for the Korsu, a changing room and a dry toilet. The maximum group size is 15 people.

Smoke sauna with peat roof
is located between Kota and Korsu. You can get there by car right next door or from Päätalo along the duckboards. The smoke sauna offers gentle baths and the duckboards provide access to the lake for swimming from the pier. The sauna can accommodate about 15 people. Our sauna elf will heat up the sauna for you, it takes about 5 hours and the sauna will be ready for you between 4 pm and 5 pm. The smoke sauna will be warm the whole evening. Remember! Only warm water on the stones in the sauna.

Cleanliness
A cleaning fee is always added to the rental price. This ensures that the premises are kept clean and comfortable.

Dogs and pets
Dogs and pets are welcome at Lastu. Dog waste should be collected from the yard areas in waste bags and then taken to the garbage can (mixed waste). Droppings made in the woods can be left in the woods to decompose.

There may be other tenants in the area at the same time and they also have access to the duckboards and piers.

Other rented facilities in the area:

In the main house
The main house has comfortable seating for about 5-15 people. The large picture windows overlook the lake and there is a fireplace at one end of the room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher. There are three bedrooms with a total of 8 beds. There are 2 toilets in the house. The sauna facilities include a dressing room, 2 shower rooms, a washroom, an electric sauna for 10-15 people and direct access to the backyard terrace, along the duckboards, to the pier and for swimming. Swimming is possible all year round as a pump keeps the water open in winter.

The Laplander's Hut has an atmosphere. There are moose furs on the benches and neat barbecue pits on the campfire for cooking and grilling. A hut for about 10 to 15 people.

Bedlinen
Clothes are compulsory. You can bring your linen or rent it from us. Linen set includes sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, bath towel and hand towel. The rental price is 19€. The linen is washed in a professional laundry with high hygiene standards.

On your lakeshore
The lakeshore has its swimming pier, and in winter a pump keeps the water open. Under no circumstances should you jump head-first into the water from the pier. At the end of the pier, the water is about 2.5 metres deep, but there are stones under the water. A pleasant and peaceful place. The lakeshore and the piers belong to Lastun Paikat and both are shared by the tenants.

Orivesi
is part of the Suur-Saimaa and has an average depth of 9,2 metres. In Orivesi, you may come across a dice or find a shelter and sauna on the island, run by the village association. There are just under 1600 islands in Orivesi.

With the rights of every man
means the right of everyone to use nature, regardless of who owns or controls the land. In other words, no landowner's permission is needed to use nature within the limits of public rights, and there is no charge for using it. Nature reserves and national parks have their own rules. So you are free to pick berries and mushrooms in the wild.

Fishing
You have to pay a fishing fee if you are aged between 18 and 64 and fish with lures or fishing gear or crayfish. You can buy a permit for a day, a day, a week or a whole year. The fishing fee entitles you to fish with one lure almost anywhere in the country, but sometimes you also need a permit from the owner of the water area. Fishing fees are used to manage fishing waters and fish stocks, as well as to control fishing and advise fishermen. The management fee is based on the Fisheries Act and more information is available by emailing eraluvat@metsa.fi or by calling 020 69 2424. The link will take you to the online shop for permits.

Location
Puhos is centrally located near road number 6. The easiest way to get to Puhos is by car. If you arrive by train or bus to Kitee, order a shuttle service from the staff to your destination.

Payment and cancellation conditions
The rent must be paid before the premises are handed over to the tenant. The rent is due at least 2-4 weeks before the start of the rental period, depending on the season and unless otherwise agreed.

If cancelled within 48 hours of sending this confirmation or more than 30 days before the start of the rental, no cancellation fees will apply.
